Grand Parent Heaven!

It's official we finally are able to let everyone know that we are expecting yet another grand baby. Ashley and Lance are due at the beginning of July. We are so excited! We found out in November. The way Ashley told us was so creative and unforgettable and talk about surprised! WOW it was so awesome how surprised we all were. She made a nice dinner for us all and next to our plates were some cute envelopes very carefully marked for each of us. As we finished eating dinner she announced that we are to now open the envelope. As we opened them one by one all you could hear were squeals and screaming (mostly from me) and we all jumped up and could not hug Ash and Lance fast enough! The cards that Jerry and I are holding in the picture you see were our cute cards that we got to open.

Thanksgiving was so eventful for our family. Baby Madeline was born on November 29th unexpectedly and right before that Ash let us know she was expecting. WONDERFUL! Soon Jerry and I will be in grandparent haven!! I still don't know what my grand babies are going to call me. I am excited about that!

Not only was November eventful for us but I think the whole 2011 was! Christian came home from his mission and was not home very long and decided to head on up to Provo to start his life. He is doing great and is still trying to adjust. I wished he could have stayed a little longer here at home so I could have fattened him up a bit he is a stick as he calls himself. It was sad for me to have him leave so soon but I know it is for the best for him. I am excited for his future and pray all will go well for him in every which way.

In the mean time I love my life and continue to feel so blessed!! Life really is so great!

Words cannot express how I felt this very special day. So I thought I would just let you see all the pictures and let the pictures express it all! Just know this BOY this MISSIONARY IS HOME HOME HOME!!!!!!!!

We had to go to the church so this Elder could get released. President Petersen let Jerry and I take his badges. That badge has great meaning to it know that these missionaries represent our Savior Jesus Christ wow what a responsibly! As you can see here it was bitter sweet for this man!

AHHHHH HOME AT LAST! Now on to other big things in his life. He will be headed off to school just as soon as he can but in the mean time I plan on enjoying every single second with this most wonderful boy of mine. He is trying to adjust to his new life and we have smiled at him while doing so. He makes funny little comments like "wow did you ever feel how soft the carpet is your are standing on?" or "wow look thats a road" and as we were walking up our stairs to go into the house he said " wow it is so beautiful out here" talking about the ranch. He is as cute as a button and I could not be more proud of this young man! Cannot wait to see what the future holds for this young man!!!!! WELCOME HOME CJ!!!!!!

RETURN WITH HONOR!!!

To my surprise Jerry and I received our very last letter from our Elder Coslett this morning. He is at the Mission President's home right now waiting to leave for the airport. His letter made me cry my eyes out. Probably one of the sweetest letters and most meaningful letters we have received from him. I can tell he is a grown man who is more wise and is stronger in spirit. In this sweet letter, he bore his Testimony of the love he has for his Savior and Father in Heaven. He was able to attend the Temple last night with his President. While in the Temple he truly felt the love of the Savior and Heavenly Father. He said while in the Temple it felt as if he was getting hugged by the Savior himself. He said it was a feeling he has never felt before and that he will never forget it. It comforted that boy so much and the way he expressed it to us made me cry! He also expressed the love he has for the people of Brazil and that he will forever love them and miss them... such a bitter sweet time for him! I CANNOT WAIT TO HUG HIM and tell him how proud I am of him! He is such a wonderful young man and has grown so much, I can see it. I am proud that he was worthy to serve and that HE WANTED TO SERVE! It wasn't even a question for him while he was preparing to go! He knew that it was his duty to serve! That he has done! I love so much how the lord has his hand in this young man's life and that he has been guiding him and will continue to guide him through out his life. He is a choice young man and I feel honored to be his mother.

Before he left on his mission Jerry and I both said to him "Return With Honor Son" and he looked at us very seriously and said "I will" He has.... this young man Elder Christian James Coslett will return with honor and I know his Savior is very pleased with him. I am beaming right now as a mother! I have missed him so much but am so very grateful he was able to go and serve the lord the way he has. I love that this mission has turned him into a loving humble sweet young man and I know he is forever changed because of it! He will be a better father, a better priesthood holder, and a better husband someday. I am grateful to my sweet Heavenly Father for his wisdom and love he has for each and every single one of us! If we can all just be obedient to his commandments and just realize that they are stepping stones to eternal progression. That is how and when we will receive blessings in our lives! He loves us so much and wants to bless us and he does! I love this gospel I belong to! I love the knowledge I have because of it! Every day it keeps things into perspective for me and helps me always to see the BIG picture! Families can be together forever! THEY CAN!

Be thinking of me and my family tomorrow because this most beautiful son of mine will be arriving at 1:30 pm! My heart is pounding and I have tears in my eyes just the thought!

I woke up this morning feeling over whelmed with JOY yes joy! I am simply beside myself. I CANNOT believe how much my Heavenly Father has blessed me and my family! I am at awe and am so aware that all that I have is because God has given it to me. He has his hand in every single thing in my life! He has blessed me and will continue to bless me!

I remember as I was growing up how difficult life was and how I was searching for something that could be better. I knew life could be better but did not know how to get it or find it. When I was a little girl very young little girl I would pray not knowing for sure that there was a God just hoping that there was. I would ask for his help and guidance. I would ask him why did life have to be so difficult and why did I have to go through the things I had to go through. Life seemed so unfair to me and wished it could be different. Even though I did not know for sure He was listening to my pleas and prayers I just had HOPE and FAITH that he was. Life really never changed for me until one day when I talked to the Missionaries. I was 16 years old when I first learned about The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The words that I heard from those Missionaries were the words I was searching for. I learned that God had answered my prayers and that he was aware of my needs and wants. I learned then that I was loved.... loved more than any other person could ever love me. I learned that I am his child. What the missionaries taught me changed my life forever.... I have never been the same. He has blessed me! I can remember growing and thinking WHY?? WHY??? WHY??? why did I have to go through so much. I have to say I did not understand then but I DO NOW. I get it! I honestly can say I am so very grateful for for those difficult times and would not trade them for the world! It has made me who I am today. If I could I would go back and do it all over again. Yes I would ....I would go through all the trials and adversity all over again! I am stronger because of it and I understand WHY now and I get it! This life truly is one big gigantic TEST. We are being tested all the time and the secret is for us to PASS the test! As we are going through trials if we can stop.... pray then listen God will answer. It may not be exactly what we want but he does listen and will answer. Eventually as time goes by we will be able see how why and what!!! This is the loveliness of knowing there is a God. I cannot imagine having to go through my whole life without knowing who he is!

I look at my life now as I reflect back when I was young and I feel an overwhelmness of gratitude! I am so grateful! So grateful! My dreams have come true. I always wanted a loving family with healthy happy children. When I first learned about the church I learned about Temple Marriage and how families can be together. I never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be able to have an eternal family. It truly was a dream to me! Those dreams have come true I DO have an eternal family and was able to get married and sealed in the Temple. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this church that I belong to. I know that God lives and that Jesus is the Christ. I love that I have a missionary son that is coming home in two weeks! 2 WEEKS! I am in tears right now as I am typing this the thought of him coming home and knowing that he has given it all in his mission. I know he was a fantastic missionary and that God is very proud of him. His mission blessed our family. My son has made me so proud and I am so PROUD to be his MOM! I love the fact that I now have a new grand baby girl Madeline Jane. She is beautiful! She is perfect and so sweet! I have an over whelming love for her the same way I do for all my children. She is my grandchild! I am a grandma! This is what life is all about! It't not about how much money you have or how big your house is or what kind of clothes you wear or how big your diamond ring is..... its about family and the love of a family! Its about service its about LOVE its about kindness its about God its about Jesus!!! When we die we take with us our souls and what we do with our souls while we are here on the earth is what we take with us. Make sure you love more you serve more you give more you have compassion more you forgive more this is what you take with you! Not that big house or the diamond ring or that perfect car! I love having the knowledge of this! I love knowing that if you live right God is there to bless you first hand! It pays to be obedient it does! I love that my children believe what I believe and knowing what I know because of that their lives will be blessed too! I have an overwhelming responsibility to be the perfect example to my grandkids and hope that they to will learn to love god and that they to will know how loved they are and that they are His children.

My heart is full and I think it will be for the rest of my life. I love my life and am so blessed! So BLESSED! I love my God so much! Thank you Heavenly Father for giving me every little single thing I have in my life! I pray that the blessings will continue and that when I do have trials I will continue to have Faith and Hope that everything will be okay just as I did when I was a little girl.

KENNETH COPE!!!

Okay so here is part 3 of our Thanksgiving! First I should say this...... I have loved loved loved Kenneth Cope's music since the late 80's early 90's. His music is inspiring, beautiful, lovely, heart warming, comforting, sweet, joyful! Kenneth Cope is one gifted man. God has blessed him with the ability to testify of our Savior and the miracles of who our God is and about through his beautiful music. ( did I mention that his music is beautiful?) He is a sweet gracious man who is very humble and full of love. All you have to do is listen to his music to know the kind of person he is! In my wildest dreams would I ever think I would some day get to meet this man! NO way! Well I was wrong! I did! I met this man along with my whole family! He invited us to his home and was able to meet his sweet girls and wife! Can you believe it??? I still can't! We had so much fun sitting in his living room chatting with him and asking questions. He was so kind to answer every single little sometimes dumb questions we asked him..... ha. SO SWEET! I could go into how and why I got to meet him but won't bore you with it! Just know I met him and was one of the most memorable moments for me!

He is in the middle of making a new CD for the youth of our church! I CANNOT WAIT FOR THAT!! Did I mention that I LOVE his music! For those of you who don't know him google his name there you will get a small taste! Down below is one of his Christmas songs he sings. It is beautiful!

Don't be surprised if I put lots of thing about him on my Facebook! I will be promoting it for sure!

WOW what a Thanksgiving right??? Such a whirlwind and I am still floating around! I do not think I will ever come down EVER!

Stay tuned guys! There will be at least one more awesome event for me to share with you...... but I will wait on that one!

Am I one blessed girl or what?? I know right!!!

Baby MADELINE!

Okay so this is Thanksgiving part 2 there are 3 parts to Thanksgiving. Yes as all of you know Heather had her baby while we were in Utah for Thanksgiving and all of you should know that she was 6 weeks early. Her baby was not due until January so it was quite an emotional roller coaster for me.

Jerry and I were supposed to leave for home the day after Thanksgiving until Celeste came to us and said " they asked me to speak next sunday in church" and of course Jerry was not about to miss that! I was wanting to leave for home because I had so much going on! I am the YW's president in my ward and had been planning for YW in Excellence for the past few months and knew I needed to get back for that. But I gave in and realized they hey YW can wait after all its all planned out and I will be back in time for the event the following wednesday...... WRONG! Well we went to Celo's talk and were getting ready to pack up and leave for home. So I thought! We received a phone call from Heather telling us that she was in labor and that she was dilated to 4 plus! I was like WHAT???? NOOOO! Oh my goodness I had so much emotion going on in my mind and heart! I was worried about the baby I was worried about Heather and then I was thinking how in the world am i going to be able to do YW in Excellence from Utah! NOT POSSIBLE!!! SO i LET it go! I knew I needed to be there with my daughter DUHHHH!!!! I really was a wreck so worried but it was so awesome because Heavenly Father blessed me with comfort in knowing that sweet baby Madeline would be okay and that she would be healthy!.... and she was! It was such a tender mercy that we were able to be there for the birth. If Celeste had not been asked to speak we would have missed it!!!! SO THANKFUL we could be there! SUCH a TENDER MERCY!!!

Mother and baby are doing great! Heather is home from the hospital, baby Madeline is still there but I heard just today that she may get to come home on Tuesday we shall see! WHAT A GIFT AND BLESSING THIS BABY GIRL IS!!!! I have not gotten to hold her yet and I am now home from Utah but plan on join back next week! Just in time for me to help Heather a little. While Heather was in the hospital Jerry and I were able to help get Heather and Nick somewhat organized. We were able to purchase somethings she needed for when the they bring the baby home. Heather was planning to get all of that done in the month of December after school was over! We were so happy to help her out!I needed to get home to get the house ready for Christmas and ready for my son to come home after being gone for 2 years. I will leave next monday I think!

Anyway all went well at home with the YW. We postponed YW in Excellence for some time in March. I feel at peace about that. All is well all is well!

I am one blessed momma and I love the fact that I am a first time GRANDMA! I am so proud! I am grateful for all that God has given me! SO GRATEFUL! I am already so in love with this baby! Cannot wait to hold and kiss her! Madeline Jane Ferguson! She is just PERFECT!!!

Thanksgiving With The Beifuss Family!

We decided this year for Thanksgiving to go to Utah. All of our kids live there so it seemed like perfect sense! So Jerry and I packed up our car and drove the 18 hour drive. It was a pleasant drive and I loved that I was able to spend that quality time with my husband. He drove while I crocheted. I swear I think I made about a million scarves on this trip! My girls appreciated that the most because all the scarves I made I gave to them! : ) Anyway it was so great to be able to spend time with my children. We did not get to spend time with Ashley and Lance during Thanksgiving because it was Lance's family turn. We did get to have Celeste, Heather and Nick. My good friend since my college day invited us to have Thanksgiving with them and it was just Perfect! Holly is like another Martha Stewart and knows how to entertain, decorate and cook! It was a WONDERFUL meal and time! I love making memories!

I love Holly's home. It feels like my second home to me. It is so warm and inviting. This is her fireplace in her great room.

It's traditional in the Beifuss home to make yummy turkey soup and left overs from Thanksgiving the very next night. Yum! This is that night! We were able to have Ash and lance with us.

Holly showed us how to make these darling houses. I love spending time with Holly because I always leave with some kind craft project. So fun. Here are the houses Ash made for her home..... so cute!

Simple RULES to live by! YES!

When I read this..... this morning it made my heart feel more at peace they are words to live by for sure! So simple yet can be so difficult at times. Life has been crazy lately for me and at times you think MERCY I need some MERCY! Then you try and figure why things happen the way they do especially knowing that you are trying and doing the best you can. I understand that one needs opposition in all things in order to grow but really come on can one just have a break from it??? Haven't I grown enough??? I mean I think I have! All I want to do is to do my very very best without anyone getting in my way. Is that asking much?? I don't think so! SO the thing to do is to accept the fact that this world is full of opposition and instead of saying "oh why always me" you say "BRING IT ON!!!" Seriously bring it on! I love the saying " God won't give you anything you can't handle" I so believe that! The cool thing is that I am learning to rely on HIM for strength and for answers. I am learning that I can't do things by myself that I need his guidance and wisdom in my life. Heavens what a relief that is knowing this! YESSSS!

So lets dissect these profound words you see above ( not mine the picture) don't get me wrong I think my words are profound too just these picture words are way more profound : ) ANYWAY lets get started!

1. Free your heart from hatred~~ Oh how so very true that is! When you can learn to LOVE more and to hate less WOW! It's like being set free! That burden you feel if you have animosity towards someone will disappear and you feel as if a 200 pound sack of potatoes has been lifted off of your heart! IT FEELS GOOD! The secret is to LOVE more and HATE NONE! yup!

2. Free your mind from worries!~~ OH I LOVE THIS!!!!! I think sometimes I get so caught up in worrying about the littlest of things! Like ridiculous things, things that simply don't matter! Its like WHO CARES!!!!! Why worry about something you cannot do anything about! I think when we complain about others and their actions and what they are not doing right we are so corrupted by that ugliness that we can't even see the good in others or the situation. We miss out on the sweetness and quality of life. The sweetness and great quality is just NOT there because we are so busy being negative and worried about STUPID and I mean REALLY STUPID things! Do you know what I am saying??? Why in the world do we need to be so uptight? Why do we need to worry about why someone is not doing something my way??? We seriously just need to step off and STOP complaining and stop worrying about STUPID STUFF!!!!! REALLY!!!!!! I mean REALLY!!!!! Life is so short! Lets enjoy! Make the best of this life make it quality! We need to have more gratitude and stop and count our blessings! I think if we can just have more gratitude and recognize all the beauty of our blessing that have been given us we won't have any need to worry about the trivial things that simply do NOT matter!!!!! You know what I mean???? Ugh I do not think I am explaining this the way I want to! I hope you are getting it!

3. Live SIMPLE~~ ahhhhh if i could understand the importance of this!!! Living simple..... hmmm how to live simple! easy! STOP WANTING!!!! Thats it just stop wanting! Love the things you already have and take care of those things! Wow if we humans could just stop wanting! Don't get me wrong I like my things and there is nothing like getting a new brand name purse BUT my life will not stop just because I cannot have that! Material things are so frivolous (did i spell that right?) and shallow compared to what is REALLY important! Like the love of a friend or enjoying nature or getting a love note form the hubby or getting a phone call from your son in law and daughter letting you know you are going to be a grandma! Or watching the flowers you have planted blossom to help make your home more beautiful or having a YW from church come up to you and hug you to tell you that you that they love you! Oh my the list goes on and on! That makes life simple and sweet! Who would agree!!???

4. Give more~~ Oh the joys of service!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!!!! There is nothing better than knowing that you just made someones heart smile because of a simple service you have rendered! That is the best and I can't do enough of it! Serioulsy if you catch yourself begin sad! Serve someone! Watch yourself get out of your sorrow! Its the best kind of medication! I feel it is my duty to GIVE MORE! WHY?? because I have been given soooo much! It would be so selfish for me to not give back!!!!! SO SELFISH!!!! well anyway thats just how I feel!

5. EXPECT LESS~~ okay so this is the trickiest little statement that can have true deep meaning if you think about it! Why is it important to expect less???? Well here let me just tell you! If we go into something expecting nothing and when its all said and done we won't be upset or sad WHY because we expected nothing in return! If we go about our lives just doing with out expecting it will make life so much easier and just more SWEEEET!!!!! YES! how simple is that! Just live your life without expecting!!! You cannot please everyone I have learned and if you do your very best that is all that matters! You simply cannot please everyone!!! What matter is you have done your best and just don't expect praise or reward! The cool thing is when and if you do get rewarded that reward will be like winning the lottery!!!! Serioulsy!

Wow! This has been great therapy! THANKS for letting me share!!! I have to say for those of you who know me really well don't worry I am okay! Life is just challenging sometimes and you feel like I am in a battle constantly and for no reason! BUT I AM FINE and I am fighting that battle with LOVE scripture study and lots and lots of prayer! I love reading profound words like the ones in that gold picture! They help! I will win this war! Not just the battle! Life is great that is FULL of GREATNESS!!!! Okay thats all LOVE you guys!

Elder Boyer and Elder Coslett/ Best Friends!

Here is Axel and CJ when they went to Efy together. They had so much fun! I don't know if this is the San Antonio one or Santa Barbara one.

This is a picture of Axel Boyer and Jerry and I the day Axel went through the Temple in preparation for his mission. Axel has been called to serve in the West Indies, Caribbean mission. There he will serve for two years. Jerry and I went to his farewell this past Sunday and it was one of the most spiritual farewells I have ever been to. Axel is ready and truly sounded like a Returned Missionary already. We are so proud of him and know he will make a Huge difference to the people he will serve there. He will touch lives for sure!

I need to tell you a little bit about this young man and why he is so important to our family. He and CJ have played hockey together and they were the only lds members on their team. When they joined the Alliance Hockey team CJ did not know he was a member nor did Axel know CJ was a member. Then one day Axel started talking about EFY and CJ over heard him talking. CJ was "stoked" as he would say that there was another member on his team which was rare. Needless to say they both figured out that they were members and have been inseparable ever since. They became best friends and were a great support for each other. If one was down the other would pick the other up. They both have the same type of personalities. They are very out going, fun, sweet, lovable and steadfast in the gospel. They both were great examples to their team. It was such a blessing for CJ to have Axel as his friend and it seems like it was meant to be for them to be friends. Very special. We also have grown to love his parents I so love his mother Stacy. Axel and CJ have known each other since they were 14 years old. As I said they have been inseparable since. They have gone to Efys together church together hockey together and now both have gone on missions together. Axel leaves in a few days for his mission. As all of you know CJ is serving in Brazil and will be home at the end of December!! Axel has been a faithful writer to him and now Elder Coslett will get to write to Elder Boyer and support him!

This is a very special time in these young mens lives! I am so very proud of them both for the choices that have made. Both boys gave up hockey so they can serve their Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Both boys are Heavenly Fathers soldiers that are fighting for truth. I cannot wait to see what the Lord has in store for them. Both will be great leaders, fathers and husbands. A mission is not easy but so worth it. I love that the lord calls these young men at such a tender young age. It forces them to get out of them selves and to leave the world behind to work and labor and serve those that are willing listen to the powerful message they have prepared and that is of Jesus Christ and of the restoration of this gospel. That is how they change lives. Leaning about the Savior is always a great life changing experience once accepted. What an honor for these boys!

These sweet boys will have left as Boys and will come back as Men.

How grateful I am to my Heavenly Father for this gospel that I am apart of. It has blessed and has changed my life for the better. I do not know where I would be without it. To think my son and my sons best friend will be missionaries just like the missionaries that taught me. How grateful I am for them, because of them my life simply has been abundantly blessed. Because of their sacrifice and great service I am who I am today! I will forever be in debt to them for it! Oh how I love the missionaries!!

I love you both Axel and CJ! May you both continue to be blessed with the spirit, strength, good health and compassion for the people while you serve! God be with you!!

This is Elder Coslett as a missionary in Brazil. Cannot wait to see a picture of Axel on his mission! After he received his call it told him that he had to wait 4 months before he could go. So simply because of that YOU KNOW that is certainly where the lord wants him. I love that thought. Axel has been diligently waiting and now this time has finally come.

Life Really Is Grand!!

Life really is great considering the fact that I am now an empty nester. I arrived home yesterday after a lengthy trip from dropping off our baby girl for college in Provo Utah. When I got home I cannot even describe to you the emptiness I felt and still feel. I think I am going to feel this way for a while now. It is over whelming but I refuse for it to take me over. I plan on keeping myself very busy. There are so many things I will be doing. One of them will include genealogy. I am excited about getting my ancestors work done. There are many many more things I plan on doing . So there will be no time for sadness. I have so much to be thankful for and so it will be ungrateful of me to be un happy. I am one blessed mother that is for sure. I have great children and am so excited for their future. I am excited that I am having a beautiful grand baby that will be born in January her name will be Madiline (how cute is that right?) My son will be home from his mission in December! I cannot wait for that. I cannot wait to literally hug his bones. So see there is to much to look forward to! This is a new phase in my life one that I will embrace and go with it. But I will say I still will have a few tears along the way with my house being so empty now. But that is okay I am allowed right!??

Ashely hired Celeste at the Awful Waffle. This was the first night for her to work. Ashley has the shop stay open till midnight on Saturday nights. So that was a late night for Celo.

Celeste is adjusting pretty well to her new environment considering the fact she does not do well with change. She needs this time in her life to grow. We literally had to push her out of the nest. She DID NOT want to leave. She had to though. How else would she grow up. If she had it her way she would live with us for the rest of her life and be content with it. We all know that is not healthy. We want the best for her and we love her as we do all of our children. We want her to be the best she can be and become the beautiful woman the Heavenly Father knows she can and will be. I am proud of her for going. All is well ALL is well! I LOVE my life!

Our Most Memorable Trip To Hawaii!

My brother Ralph treated my WHOLE family on a trip to Kauai, Hawaii. We will never forget it! It was memorable and was a great bonding time for the Cosletts. I simply LOVE Hawaii and it's beauty! We had so so so much fun!

Our Sabbath Day In Hawaii

It was such a delight to be able to attend church in Hawaii. The saints there are just wonderful! There was a sweet spirit there that was very special. It was such a treat!

We had a fun and quiet day that day we just hung out on the beach that was right outside our back door, went up in the canyon and enjoyed a nice dinner that we ate out on our patio. It was so enjoyable for sure!

Fun Activities We Did While In Hawaii

While in Hawaii on the Island of Kauai we were able to do a few really fun and memorable activities. We decided to go on a kayaking and hiking adventure. We hiked up to a beautiful fall there. It was so much fun! I have never been kayaking before. I was so happy that I had Jerry as a partner because he did most of the rowing. That was a workout I tell you! But the scene was spectacular! SO beautiful!

This is "T" she was our guide. She was so fun and very sweet!

We also were able to go on a boat tour and while on the tour we stopped to do some snorkeling . I have never snorkeled either so it was another magical moment for me. It was so magical looking at all the beautiful fish and reef in the ocean so beautiful!

We enjoyed going to all the different beaches on the Island of Kauai. They were all so beautiful. Celeste got to surf although she really never quite caught on to it she still loved it! The kids enjoyed boogie boarding as well. I did a little bit but decided that I should just stay near the calm waves in the ocean. It was quite scary at times and the waves were so powerful!

There are SO many beautiful tropical flowers in Hawaii. I could not get over the different variety of flowers. I decided that every time I saw a different flower that I would stop and take a picture of them.

Genealogy/ MY DAD : )

It is crazy! The other day I was looking through some old pictures and came across these pictures of my dad and my grandmothers. There must be a reason why I was doing this because now I have the REAL ITCH to get my genealogy done. I have decided when I get back from our family vacation that I am going to take the time to work on it. I am so very excited about it and can tell it is going to be so fun! This is a picture of my handsome dad. I miss him for some reason and have been thinking about him. My daughter Heather and son in law were able to do his temple work. So FUN! It will be so wonderful to get the rest of my families work done.

Wasn't my dad so handsome! He was the only boy of 4 sisters. You can just imagine how spoiled he was. Well he was from what I hear ha! But really who wouldn't be. I hear he had a great sense of humor and was well liked by many. Never a dull moment in his little life. He loved playing the guitar and could not read music but played by ear. My brothers and I never were interested in playing but Christian and Celeste both play the guitar and both learned to play just like my dad. Crazy how it skipped us and wen to my children.

This is my great great great grandmother. Her name was Sophia and her indian name was "ik-lo-ha-wah" Is that just the cutest?? This is where I get my Choctaw Indian heritage from. I loved reading about her and the type of person she was. While living in the Indian territory a missionary taught her about Christ. From there she became a devout Christian. She was known to have been "just in all things" a woman full of integrity... love it! Her favorite flower was the yellow rose and they still have a beautiful yellow rose garden dedicated just for her. Her grave is the oldest grave in Oklahoma. Wished I could have known this sweet woman!! Can't wait to do her work!

This is a picture of my grandmother my dad's mom. I absolutely LOVED her! I have such warm fond memories with her. I always felt love from her. I simply adored her! I miss her! So happy I got to know her!

Sugar-And-Spice!

We found out yesterday the gender of our grand baby! Oh how I LOVE the color pink! Yes you guessed it we are having a grand baby girl! Our very very first grand baby! YAY I honestly thought it was going to be a boy and so it made the announcement that much more of a surprise! Heather and Nick had family and friends over Ashley and Lance's house for the gathering of the announcement. Ashley was such a great sister and made a party out of it. She had cute decorations and pink balloons and all. They revealed the gender by wrapping a big box full of pink balloons then they opened the box outside for all to see! It was exciting! I wished we could have been there! darn it! We did get to listen in though!

Heather and Nick will be the most darling parents and I know that little girl will have nick wrapped around his little pinky finger and will melt his heart each day! Heather will be loving, calm and will teach her every part of the gospel.

I love that Jerry and I will be grandparents! This is the beginning of a beautiful generation for my family!!! I feel so blessed! Heavenly Father really loves our family!

Now let the joy BEGIN!!!

Our Elder Coslett

We cannot believe that our Elder Coslett has only six months left in the mission! Words can never describe how so so very proud we are of him. He has LOVED his mission and has been diligent in his service. He has grown from this 19 year old boy who did not have a care in the world to this wonderful man who has every care in the world for his fellow being. For the past two years he has not had time to think about himself only for the people in Brazil. He put everything behind him and left everything behind including a sweet girl that I know still has her locked safe in his heart with the key put away. This is a very special young man with a heart of gold. We LOVE you Elder Coslett and cannot wait to hug your face. Thank you for being obedient and for loving the lord the way you do. You are an example to us all! Be safe and keep working hard and do your very best!

Trip To Utah A Success!

We decided to take a little trip to Utah to see the kids and find Celeste a place to live. It was so wonderful to be there and even though our trip was very short it was so great to see the kids and the progress they are making in their lives. Both married couples are plugging right along. Heather and Nick are busy with school. Nick took the Mcat and did very well and is already applying for medical schools. Heather is going into her 2nd trimester and feels sick all the time. Bless her heart she had hardly any energy to do things while we were there. I felt so bad for her. She and Nick will be awesome parents. I love watching Nick how gentle and kind he is to Heather. He is such a good man, she picked the perfect partner for her! Ashely and Lance are busy with their different business's. They just opened a place called the "Awful Waffle" and it seems to be a hit. Lance went to Belgium on his mission and simply fell in love with the crepes and waffles that are made over there. They both were in Europe this past winter and stayed in Belgium while touring Europe over the weekends. They both decided to open a little Belgium waffle restaurant when they got back to the states. Lance even carried the waffle maker on his back on the way back to the states. So far the restaurant is a hit and people seem to enjoy eating there. I am proud of both those two kiddos and their accomplishments. The are a great team.

All in all it was a successful trip. We were able to find Celeste a place to live. Before we left Jerry and I were very prayerful before we started to search for a place for her because we know how very difficult this move is going to be for our Celeste. She is such a homebody and does not like change at all. When she was very little she didn't even like for us to change her room around. She is a creature of habit and is comfortable in familiar environments. Utah is not familiar to her. Texas is her home and always will be. We know this is the best for her and the only way she will grow. Anyway so as we were looking for a place with Celeste we looked at many apartment complexes and while looking Celo was very quiet. We were sensitive to her and let her choose the place she wanted to live. Finally as we were walking around King Henry Apartments she spoke up and said I like this place and I feel good about staying here. We all felt what she felt and knew that Heavenly Father had answered our prayers. This was the place that Heavenly Father wanted her at. It was so very comforting to me and her dad knowing this. But mostly we felt such peace in knowing that Heavenly Father answers even the littlest of prayers. We are grateful.

Celeste will be moving to Utah at the end of August. It will be a bitter sweet day for me.

We were so lucky to be able to see Katherine while we were there. Lance was so sweet to surprise Ashely for her birthday by having Katherine stay with Ashley for a week. Katherine's hubby BJ came to along with their new born baby Kate. Ashley was in heaven while having her sister/bestfriend stay with her. This is a beautiful bunch of girls whom I simply just love!

Youth Conference + Mariama Kallon = SPECTACULAR!

We had Youth Conference On July 7, 8, and 9th. It truly was a memorable youth conference one that I know the youth grew from! We had Mariama Kallon come and speak to the youth. Her story is powerful and all must learn of her story if you don't know of her google her name and you can learn more about her. She is from West Africa and was caught up in the war there. The rebels killed her whole family and she was able to find peace through the gospel. I had the honor of letting her stay at my house for 4 days. It was a blast! She really is so much fun and we laughed and laughed and I feel I have a new sister one that I never had that I always wanted. I love her and she will always be apart of my heart! I am so glad we got to know her. She left this morning and I hope to get to see her soon!

When she arrived in Dallas from Salt Lake she asked if she could go to the temple right away. She LOVES to visit any temple she can and is making it a goal to try and visit as many temples as she can! It was so wonderful to be able to spend time with her in the temple it really was! I love how she wears her big beautiful African dresses every time! She is very proud of her native country and will never dress like Americans. I told her that I wanted to wear an African dress and look just like her! : )

On Sunday she was able to visit our ward and the YW. She spoke to them for a few minutes and the YW LOVED it!

I decided that it would be selfish of me to not share her with others so I invited some of my friends over after the temple for a nice dinner. She was a hit and we all laughed and laughed till our bellies hurt! She has the greatest sense of humor as well as a testimony of the gospel that is rock solid! She is such an inspiration and I know the sisters that spent time with her LOVED her and felt uplifted just spending that quality time with her! it was memorable!

This is President Barber.... love this man! Here he is at the beginning of youth conference. Youth Conference started of by the youth spending the day at the temple. It was simply the best to be there with the youth of the denton stake and shake each one of their hands and have one on one time with them! It was awesome!!!

WE broke them up into 8 groups and they played "get to know you games" They were having fun!

The first night at youth conference we had a talent show and skit for the kids to do. Here is one of the groups doing a dance. It was so cute and fun!

After Youth Conference was over I was able to spend some real quality time with Mariama. She asked me to take her to see some friends and to take her to a few African stores here in Dallas. It was so fun spending time with her because she told me all about her culture and how the people in her country live. My eyes were opened and it made me feel so sheltered here. I have decided I want to travel more and learn more about the different countries. I would love to visit Africa some day.

Mariama has impacted my life in such a powerful way. She has made me see even more how important it is to be grateful and to not take anything or person in our life for granted. She especially has helped my testimony grow. I love how down to earth she is and yet she is so stedfast in the gospel. She is an uplifting person and so very inspiring!

Youth Conference was a success and I am grateful for my calling and being able to serve. I love the knowledge of knowing that the lord has his hand in this work and he helps those that are trying to help build his kingdom. He loves his people and I love him!

4th of July Festivities

We had a wonderful 4th of July. We spent it with our ward at the Martino pool. They had volley ball, swimming, slippen slide for the kids, fireworks, and some real good food! It was so fun and I loved spending time with our ward members. Our ward split a few months ago and we lost half our members and so now our ward is so slim. But it has been good because it has made many step up to help get jobs done.

We missed our family that live in Utah but hope they had a happy 4th as well!

My daughter Ashley and son-in-law Lance opened up a their second little restaurant called "THE AWFUL WAFFLE" I am so excited for them . If you live in Provo you must go and check it out I promise you will not regret it!! YUMMY!!!.

The mayor came by on their opening day and had some wonderful things to say about "THE AWFUL WAFFEL" Here is a write up by him.... ENJOY!

~Today I stopped in on the grand opening of the Awful Waffle. If you didn't hear about it I've got good news. The grand opening will last until 11:00 pm tonight.

Okay all you cheap guys out there. Here is the perfect date for tonight.

This is the real deal. Recipes and equipment all from Belgium. I let them order for me and I was served the best crepe I've ever had.

Make sure you check out the waffle grill that Lance carried on his back on the Belgium metro.

Stake Girls Camp 2011

Girls camp one of the greatest experiences of my life! It was ruff but it was good. We slept in tents and used porta potties and it was 100 degree plus. If I could I would do it again and again. Being with the YW of our stake was priceless and I feel honored I was able to spend such quality time with them and their leaders!

The New Way To Watch A Movie!

For my birthday this year Jerry decided to take me to this movie theater in fairview close to plano. This theater is not like any other theater and because of that I will never be able to go to a regular theater again! Let me tell you why. In a regular theater they have the plain ole boring uncomfortable seats that smell sometimes. Well this theater that is called Gold Class Theater has reclining very very cushy comfortable seats that you can almost lay down on! Mercy heavens talk about COMFORTABLE!! PLUS on top of the comfortable seats you can order a very yummy and healthy I might add dinner! So not only can you watch your movie in luxury BUT you can fill you tummy with some good food!

I told Jerry that I will never ever be able to go to a regular movie theater again! Thank you my love for a wonderful birthday it was memorable and am reminded how I am the luckiest girl in the world!!

Oh I have to mention that they also will give you a nice clean blanket if you get a little chilly. So Celo and I are staying warm and comfy while we watch a 3-D movie! Oh the life! : )))

SHE DID IT!!!!

It has been forever since I have blogged! I have been so so busy with so many different things! To name a few...... 1) planning girls camp that is just in a few weeks....... 2) youth conference that is in the beginning of July. Then on top of all of this I have had my baby girl graduate from high school! SHE DID IT YAY! We are so proud of her! Now she will go on to bigger and better things!

I no longer have one child in the Denton ISD school district! Can you say WEIRD! There was a time when I had a child in middle school, high school and elementary all at the same time! I can remember thinking that my life would be this way forever! I spent my life in the car picking up and dropping off. I never in a million years thought I would be where I am now! An EMPTINESTER! Yup that is me! Where in the world has the time gone!???

I am certainly in a new phase in my life now and I am okay with it! In January I will be a grandma because Heather and Nick are expecting!!! YAY! I am so so so excited! Now I get to watch my kids do what Jerry and I did and that is to raise a family! How so very cool is that! This is what life is all about! FAMILY!

I love love love love my life and am seriously one of the most blessed human beings on the planet! YES I AM!

Lance was so sweet to come into town just for Celo's graduation! SO thoughtful of him! love you Lancey!

Just a few days later Celeste graduated from seminary! Seminary is grueling because these teens get up at 5:30 am sometimes earlier to go and learn about the scriptures. It is alot of sacrifice but well worth it because they gain and benefit so much from seminary. It helps them to combat daily hmmm I would say temptation but thats not the word I am looking for .... I think it just helps them to be stronger and to be able to stand up and be proud of who they are and what they are all about! LOVE IT!

I loved our e-mail that we received from Christian the other day. He shared with us how he is doing and what he did during the week. As all of you all know Christian is serving a two year LDS mission in Curitiba Brazil. We get to hear from him weekly and I always love hearing from him. I particularly loved this last email form him. He told us about a contact of a man he met on the streets there where he is serving. This man stopped Chris and his companion and asked him to please open up his whiskey bottle. Of course Chris and his comp declined then gracefully walked away. As Chris walked away he had a strong impression that he and his comp needed to go back and talk with him. So that they did. They learned alot about this man and became his friend instantly. This man was down and out and needed some true friends to converse with. It brought this man comfort. As they spoke Elder Coslett asked if they could go to his house and teach him the gospel. The man accepted the offer. When Elder Coslett went to his home it was no bigger than his room at our house here in Texas. It was full of trash and seriously run down. Elder Coslett taught him the first lesson. He and his companion decided to go back to his house the next day surprising him by cleaning up his little home .......... and that they did. They spent many hours cleaning it up for him. Christian did not say what the little old man thought about it but you can just imagine how this old man must have felt to have two young men that were complete strangers come to his house to share a sweet message with him then to come back and serve him. It must have brought this man joy.
As I was reading this email from Chris it warmed my heart because he truly is learning the true meaning of this gospel and that is to serve and love one another. Chris has such a sweet beautiful heart and this mission is making it even bigger and sweeter. Things that he is learning in the mission could never be learned anywhere else. What a sacred time this is for my son to be serving our father in heaven. It humbles me to think of all these wonderful lovely missionaries and the service and love that they render to those through out the world. They are all so very needed!

I do not know if this man will ever join the church but what I do know is that with the short time my son and his comp had with him I am sure has changed his life for the better!

I share this story with you not to brag about my son but to say that he just makes me want to be better because of his great example of service. Oh the importance of SERVICE! I pray I will have a more open mind and that my heart will feel those promptings when I need to stop turn around and serve someone.

Elder Coslett sent us pictures of the before and after. I am happy he shared this with us so we could see. I love that he is good about keeping us informed as to what he is doing and that he shares these wonderful pictures. I keep all his pictures and plan on making a book for him so he will always have the memories. This will be one memory that he will cherish.

My daughter the other day called me and told me about this website called PINTEREST. As she was telling me about it I wasn't really interested but I listened anyway. She told me I should get on and start my own page. She knew I would love it and she was so right! I said sure when I have time I will and I left it at that. Well she kept asking me if I have looked at it and what I thought. I told her no so she invited me to her page. I accepted the offer and have LOVED it every since. I am a pinterest addict I tell you! I LOVE it! It has already given me so many ideas how to decorate a room or some great ideas for a great recipe. Today I decided I wanted to make a little Easter gift for the people that I visit teach all because of Pinterest. I found this lovely recipe that you can put in a jar . I made a cute little easter basket for each one and just a little while ago dropped it off to them.

It was so fun to create something so cute! I love to create and I love getting new ideas. The picture above is the jar that has the ingredients for "easter" oatmeal cookies. it is decorated with ribbon and made with lots of love. I simply love the people that I Visit Teach and so it was pure joy doing this for them.

My youngest/baby turned 18 today! I cannot I repeat I cannot believe she is 18 already! Are you kidding me! She was born just yesterday! CRAZY! I have to say that when she was born it was a very beautiful spring day and the birth was easy and fast. She was born with her eyes wide opened ready to take on the world! That she has done! When she was a tiny baby she would smile as she would look up as if angels were there to protect her. I know she was very close to her Heavenly Father and I wonder if it was hard for her to leave her Heavenly home because she does not like change and is always very comfortable in her well known environment . Celeste has always been such sweet little thing! Yet she is strong willed when it is needed. She will stand up for what is right and doesn't think twice about it. She is unique and has the cutest style of her own. She doesn't care what people think and what I love about her the most is that she is drama and gossip free and you will NEVER I mean never hear her speak bad about anyone! I seriously have never heard her say one bad thing about anyone! That in itself is such a gift.

Happy Birthday Celeste Elizabeth Coslett! We love you dearly! Thank you so much for brining us so much joy!

We had a small little celebration today with just me and her dad. I made her favorite cake called "the three milk cake" and her favorite dinner which is Hawaiian Hay Stack. I asked her if she wanted a party and she said no that she just wanted to spend it with family and that we did. I wished we could have had the rest of the Coslett's with us but thats okay they were with us in spirit!

Tradition Continued!

We celebrated Easter a little bit early with ALL the family this year (except my kids were not there we missed them!). Jim and Jennie Martino who are serving on a mission in Guatemala for a 5 year term are allowed to return home on different occasions. They of course were able to return home because of General Conference because Jim is serving as a 70. So we took advantage of having them home and decided it would be appropriate to celebrate easter a little bit early and spend some quality time with them! It was wonderful to have them home. Frank and Betty started this tradition (Easter Egg Hunt with the grandkids and being ALL together) since the beginning of time and have decided to keep the tradition going. They have already left for Salt Lake so that they can be there for meetings and such. They are always missed but are so grateful for their great examples of service and dedication.

Needless to say we had a great time at the easter egg hung with EVERYONE being together. Jerry and I were in charge of the hotdog roast so we had fun putting together the food. Frank and Betty I know were watching and are proud that we are keeping the wonderful traditions going for the family. They are always in our thoughts!

Here are Jennie and Deanie Martino. Deanie along with her husband have been called as mission president in the Angeles Philippines mission. Deanie will be a great mission mom to the missionaries they will be lucky to have her! Jennie and Deanie are like sisters to me and have loved and looked up to them my whole life! These woman are saints and I have the greatest memories with them. They truly have been a real light to me and I will miss Deanie when she leaves in June for three years. I already miss Jennie and it was lovely seeing her while she was here just for a moment!

On the same day as the Easter egg hung we had the general YW broadcast/conference that evening. We have a tradition in our stake where all the YW/leaders and their moms get together for an activity before the broadcast. Our ward's YW and all came to my house for dinner. Celeste is the Laurels president and so I thought it appropriate for her to have them come to my house. I enjoyed having them and loved setting a beautiful table for them to all eat at. We ended up walking next door to the holmans home to watch the broadcast. Needless to say it was a lovely event! These are some of the parents leaders and YW that were there that night.

That morning of the Easter egg hunt we looked out our window to see two raccoons snuggled up together enjoying a nice sleep together. It was quite a site! WE figured they climbed up the tree for safety so they could get a a peaceful rest without being bothered. It was amazing to me how they were able to stay up there and not fall while they slept.

Anyway this weekend is General Conference and I always love hearing from the General Leaders of our church. I always feel up lifted and energized after I hear these wonderful men speak to us! I am grateful for family and the importance of traditions.

I cannot wait till I can have an easter egg hunt with my own grandbabies!

A Visit To TEXAS!

Heather came home for a little visit! It was so fun having her home. I have always said that when Heather is home she lights up our home like a Christmas tree! She is full of energy and loves to have fun and make us all laugh! She left yesterday back to Utah and we already miss her!

While she was home she did a few photo shoots. While Nick is in school getting ready for med school Heather is the main provider for their family while she is going to school. Having an organized craft room has made me want to start doing crafts again! The other day I made these cute little easter characters. I made a cute little banner from them and some to display on a table. I love spring time and easter! I love the colors of easter and spring!

My house is full of easter decorations! I am a little obsessed I know!

Early Birthday/The Before and After! :)

My Husband let me get my birthday gift early. I was so anxious to get my craft room organized that I just could not wait! I have decided he is one of the most loving, sweet, giving, kind, and thoughtful husbands a girl could ever ask for. He gave me what I wanted a NEW CRAFT ROOM! Happy early birthday to me! Crafting will never be the same for me! It will be even better! Jerry helped me put my room together and get it organized! Thank you dear and you must know I love you with all my heart! : )
You remember my last post right? Well here are the before pictures of how I kept my craft stuff. Not fun to say the least!

He is not quite finished with it yet he has to add knobs on the ends and drill more holes. I could not wait for that so I went ahead and had him hang it for me!

Okay SO here is all of my yarn. Yes I know I have lots of it.... i know I am a little crazy! I have to say to that my yarn needs to be organized better BUT I will get to that too soon! : )

I have to say that I feel bad for taking over my sons room. His room is the smallest room in the house and it was a perfect size for my craft room. He grew out of this room anyway so it is okay. Besides the fact that he is on his mission and gone is okay too. Still I feel kinda bad that is why I decided to keep this picture that is hanging in his room up. To sentimental for me to take it down.

Needless to say I am one happy camper! Since I have organized this room I am on a roll and have been doing some serious spring cleaning in my house and getting each room organized cleaned and sparkly! I LOVE LOVE LOVE a clean house! When my house is messy it just puts me in a bad mood. It is taking me all this week to get it done. But it is certainly worth it!

My Valentine~

I had a most wonderful Valentines day! It started off with me giving my valentines to Jerry and Celeste . I am so annoyed that I forgot to take pictures of this sweet lil moment! Ugh don't you hate when you forget things like that! Anyway later on in the morning Jerry walked in with 2 dozens of beautiful roses and then let me know that he would be taking me out to lunch or dinner if I wanted. I chose lunch and he let me choose where to go. He also let me know he would give me a gift certificate to Michaels. PERFECT I thought! I really needed that because I have a few easter crafts I plan on making and I needed a few tools from there so that I could do it! Jerry and I went to Olive Garden for lunch because I wanted a low calorie meal and knew the minestrone soup would be okay and even a little bit of salad with a half of a bread stick. Thats what we both had and did't cheat one bit! : ) I just love this new life style I have it's really okay! Especially since I can fit in my size 6 jeans! Oh yeah baby it's worth skipping out on that chocolate! OKAY back to what I was talking about..... Valentines day.... sorry I get a little passionate when I talk about diet and weight loss hahaha oops.... ANYWAY after we ate I talked Jerry into taking me over to Michaels so I could go ahead and get the things I need for my project. He was a good sport and took me! Such a sweet fellow he is!

I have the sweetest hubby and I love him with all my heart. He is my Valentine through out all the year! Thank you my Valentine for being the best! I am a lucky girl!

SO! It must have been inspiration that Jerry thought about giving me a gift certificate to Michaels because while I was in there I walked down an isle where they had oodles and oodles of endless shelves and organized cubbies for organizing all your crafts. For the last few years I have been wanting to have my own craft room and have all my craft things perfectly organized so that I can just go right to it without getting frustrated because I can't find a certain thing! When I saw these wonderful shelves you see pictured above I beamed with joy knowing this is exactly what I want! My birthday is coming up in may. Perfect timing to see this. I was with Jerry at the right place at the right time. I proceeded to show him and let him know THIS is what I want for my Birthday! Just look at that picture above! Isn't in just heavenly!!!???? My craft room will look like that too yep it will! Look closely at how the ribbons are places and how there are shelves for the glitter ahhhhh HEAVENLY!

okay..... SO I am showing you why I want a need a craft room. This is where I keep all my crafts now. LOOK AT THIS! How can anyone work form this cabinet???? Here is the thing. I promise at times it is more organized but when Celo needs to work on a project form school or when jerry needs something from it..... it ALWAYS ends up looking like this! I have given up on trying to keep it neat! There is not enough room for all my stuff! See why I want a dream craft room???

I will admit I was a little hesitant to show you my craft cabinet... but surely some of you out there have closets that look like this. This is going to change and I cannot wait to post about it and show pictures! Have I mentioned that I love to do crafts????

On a sweet side note. As I have been sitting here blogging in the kitchen my sweet hubby has been making breakfast for our only child at home before she goes to school. She loves that her dad makes her breakfast and will sit down and read to her form the BOM, talk with her and just try and make her day off to a good start. Not to mention he makes really good breakfasts! (that I don't get to eat) My kids are so blessed to have such a wonderful father! I just had to capture this lil moment and share. : ) To bad I could not remember to capture Valentines day morning! : /

On another interesting side note. Do you remember in my last post I posted a picture of the stake board I put together> WELL I decided I did not like it so I went back and re did the WHOLE thing! I know I am a little on the nutty side but after I put it together I felt like there was a thorn in my side and could not feel comfortable with it. I went back and redid it and I feel much much better. The thorn is gone now. I like this so much better! I know I am a little OCD. The funny thing is I have added and changed a few things since this picture. Hahaha BUT thats it I feel much better about it and know it's perfect now! : ))

Here in North Texas we have had an ice blanket that has covered us for the past few days. We literally have been home bound for the past 4 days. Parts of North Texas lost power and were without heat for a while. I honestly do not know how the pioneers were able to keep warm in this type of weather! We are so blessed in this day and age and don't even realize it even when we are without heat. At least we have sufficient shelter and blankets and many other things we can do to stay warm! Oh how blessed we are!
It actually has been really nice to not HAVE to go anywhere or do anything! That is the blessing that comes out of being stuck at home because of ice and snow. Texas simply cannot handle this kind of weather and that is just all there is too it! I can remember as a little girl while living in Texas that when it snowed it was a given that all the schools were shut down and we got to have fun staying home playing in the snow. After high school I went to Ricks college in Idaho where it was freezing. When we had our first snow fall it was a given that you stay home or so I thought! But I quickly learned this was not the case. They still had school up a running as usual. That was not natural for me and it took some time for me to get used to it! Really it is wise they do it that way otherwise the Idaho people would be like bears and just hibernate all winter long and get nothing done. Just for me it was an adjustment.

Needless to say this past week has been very relaxing and it has been a time that I have been able to do lots of crocheting. My crocheting friend and I have dubbed this Texas Crocheting Week. Perfect time for this kind of weather.

Celeste had a few of her girl friends come over to spend the night and they have stayed up late into the night giggling and playing. They are so cute. I will miss that when Celo leaves for college. I wished I could have gotten a picture of the girls playing together while they were here! But I didn't dang! Oh well next time! : )

Here is the front yard of our home. This looks really good compared to the first day of the ice storm we had. I should have taken a picture of that oh well again! I feel we live in the most beautiful area. It is so peaceful and quiet and I feel so blessed to live here.

Here is Lily trying to stay warm. I need to go and get her groomed but think I will wait a little longer . Everytime I take her she comes back almost bald. It's to cold to be bald. So I will wait a few more weeks : ) I am just nice like that

I made 3 scarves during the ice storm. The black one is my fav! The problem is about making these scarves is that I give them away as soon as I make them! But it's really not a problem I love doing that so fun!

I have put my valentines decorations up. I LOVE to decorate for each holiday or season. I know Valentines isn's a holiday But you know what I mean. I think valentine decorations are so cute! I made that cute card that is on the table there cute eh?

I am in the Stake YW Presidency and the Stake YW president put me in charge of putting the bulletin Board together for our stake youth. This years Theme for all the youth in our church is the 13th Article of Faith. I love this! We as a stake YW presidency will enjoy teaching and speaking to the youth about this lovely article of faith. I had fun putting this bulletin board together. Since I have put it together I have already changed and added a few things to the board. It looks even better I think. I love that the picture of the Prophet Joseph Smith is there he represents this article no doubt. The Savior of course is a given that his picture be there he represents our whole church! : ) This bulletin board is located at the stake center . I have to say too that I LOVE LOVE LOVE my calling and am so grateful for it and for the opportunity to serve the youth of our stake and the YW leaders. So wonderful I just have to say! : )

I love the header on here. I made it on my computer and Jerry printed it out for me. Cool huh? I think so anyway : )

I just wanted to add to this lovely random post of mine and to let you know my family is doing so well! Heather and Nick are working diligently in School. Heather will be finished with school next December. She will be a teacher and I might add she will be such a great teacher! She is such a natural when it comes to teaching and is so good with Children. Whatever age group of kids she will teach it will be a great blessing to them! Heather has also started her photography business and is truly a talent! Her pictures that she takes are simply BEAUTIFUL! Her editing skills are just devine and fun to look at! We are so very proud of Heather! Nick will graduate from BYU in the Spring of 2012. He takes the MCAT this spring and will start applying for medical schools soon. It will be fun to see where those two will end up living. We are so very proud of the both of them. It will be fun to have a Dr. in the family! We are especially proud of Nick and his straight A's all during college. He will graduate with a 4.0. So proud!

Ashley and Lance have had the opportunity to go to Europe this semester for an internship lance is doing for school for credit. Lance served his mission in Belgium and so it is wonderful to be back there and for him to show Ash where he served. They have taken advantage of this opportunity and have seen Switerland, Holland, Paris and London. This weekend they are going to Rome. What a dream! They both are doing so great and working hard to be the best they can be! lance still has a few years of school left and Ash has graduated form College with an English degree we are so proud of her for that. Ash too is just a natural talent with everything she does she does well at! I am so very proud of both of them!!! They are two very responsible kids! You couldn't ask for anything better really!

Both married couples are very active in church and serve in various callings. Ashley and Lance have had fun going to church in Europe and Ashley is in love with the fact that the church is the same all over the world! I love that my girls have married such stalwart young men that are diligent to the lord. I love to that my girls support them. They are lovely wives!

Christian is doing sooo soooo great on his mission! He is working so hard and is doing his very best. I know the lord is so very proud of him and that he will be blessed for his obedience and diligent service! We love his letters and can see such a change in him. He says he is so grateful to serve and that he loves loves the book of mormon. He is now reading the book of mormon in portguese. He says he loves reading it in that language because the meaning is even deeper to him as he is reading it. He is even learning more in the BOM in a different language. He said he is so grateful that he can speak another language and thinks it is a miracle that he can do so. He will be transfered in a week and was told he will get to train a new missionary fresh out of the MTC. That young missionary will be so blessed to have him as a trainer because Elder Coslett will teach him to work hard and to adjust this young man to his new world! Oh the joy! I love being a missionary mom! : )

Celeste our youngest is doing so well! She will soon be called as the Laurel president in her class. She will be great at this! She is a good girl and we are excited to see where her life will go!

All in all the Coslett family are doing great! As for me? I am doing great and loving life! I love being a mom and feel that it is the greatest calling on earth! and to just to up date you from my last post I have lost 15 pounds! Yay! I am on a roll! Jerry is working hard and is a great wonderful provider and priesthood holder for our family. We do not know what we would do without him!

I am so grateful to our Heavenly Father for blessing my life with such an abundance of joy! My family is my joy! I pray we will continue to do well and prosper much!
